A timber appraisal is the best and easiest way to find out how much money you have growing on the back forty. Market prices are based on the species of trees we harvest and may vary widely from season to season and mill to mill. If you would like to discuss your particular situation, or schedule a free timber appraisal (you are under no obligation), please call us at 218-340-6801 or Click Here.
We purchase all of the harvestable species of timber found in northern Minnesota including Red Pine, White Pine, Spruce, Balsam, Aspen, Maple, Birch, Ash, Red Oak and White Oak.
Generally speaking, we require a minimum of 20 acres of timbered land, or smaller plots of 10 acres that are clustered in same general area.
We will construct all of the necessary access roads that are needed to reach and harvest your timber, as part of the costs that will be incurred in logging your property.
Our geographical market is generally located within a 50 mile radius (as the crow flies) of Moose Lake, Minnesota. In certain circumstances, we could accomodate projects farther than that. Please give us a call for more details.
Yes, at the same time that we are harvesting your timber, we can also create food plots for hunting purposes.
The accounting cutoff for timber shipped to the mill ends on a Sunday evening. We would recieve payment for the previous seven days stumpage on the second Thursday following the Sunday cutoff; in other words, 11 days later. Then, you would be paid on Friday or Saturday of that same week.
For example, if we started shipping stumpage to the mill on Wednesday, the 1st. The first accounting cutoff would be Sunday the 5th. We would be paid 11 days later on the 16th, and you would be paid on the 17th or 18th for wood we shipped to the mill between the 1st and the 5th. From then on you would be paid weekly with your last check coming about two weeks after we're done.
There are a few exceptions to this example depending on the mill we ship to and their payment policies. Please call us for more information.
